ProxximaTM systems make a difference to the rebar industry. The ultra-low viscosity and snap cure enable unmatched processing times and drive down cost. The resulting rebar has 2 to 4 times more tensile strength than steel and 4 to 7 times lighter weight, saving on transportation and construction crew effort. Neuvokas Corp., based in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, utilizes our ProxximaTM resin system to make GatorBar® Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) rebar. Over the past two years, tens of millions of meters of GatorBar® have been sold into the U.S. market. Repeat orders demonstrate the cost-effectiveness of this rebar and the appreciation for the light weight and long-lasting nature of the product.

ExxonMobil and Neuvokas are both members of NEx and support the launch of the design code and user guide for GFRP rebar later this year (ACI 440.1, ASTM D7957, ICC AC454 compliant)
