Materia Showcases Technologies for Fine Chemicals at Informex 2002

PASADENA, CA. – February 26, 2002. Materia, Inc., a leader in developing new catalyst technologies for the Life Sciences, will showcase its Fine Chemical technologies at Informex 2002, February 26 to March 1st in New Orleans (Booth 2158). The theme of the firm's first large tradeshow exhibition is Bringing Metathesis to Fine Chemicals and will highlight the rapid adoption of the firms proprietary metathesis technology in pharmaceutical discovery and process development. Business Development , Product Management, and Technical representatives will be available during the exhibition to provide information and answer questions about Materia's technology, products, and business relationships.

 

Materia develops and provides innovative and proprietary catalyst technologies and services to streamline the discovery, development and commercialization of new pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and materials. Products to be highlighted at this years show are Olefin Metathesis Catalysts invented by Profs. Grubbs, Schrock, and Hoveyda, OrganoCatalysts™ invented by Prof. MacMillan, and Chiral Building Blocks, Materia's newest product line derived from research in olefin metathesis and OrganoCatalysis™. These technologies are exclusively licensed to Materia and provide unique access to a wide array of important chiral intermediates.
