PASADENA, CA. - August 2003. Materia co-founder Professor Robert H. Grubbs wins 2003 Pauling Award. The ACS Oregon, Portland, and Pugent Sound Sections have bestowed upon Professor Grubbs this award in recognition of contributions comparable to that of it namesake, Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling. A symposium honoring Dr. Grubbs will be held at the University of Oregon, Eugene, on Nov 1.
