Materia and Sunesis Pharmaceuticals Enter Into Catalyst Licensing Agreement

PASADENA, CA and SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA – April 2005. Materia, Inc. and Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. have entered into a non-exclusive license agreement providing Sunesis access to Materia’s proprietary metathesis technology for use in the synthesis of a compound under development. Terms of the agreement were not announced but grant Sunesis a license for catalyst use and access to collaborative services for their process optimization and specify supply terms for development quantities of specified Grubbs Catalysts. Materia and Cargill Announce Extension of Natural Oils to Chemicals Development Agreement

PASADENA, CA – April 2005. Cargill and Materia, Inc. today announced the expansion of a development agreement for Cargill’s use of Materia’s proprietary olefin metathesis technology for converting biobased oils to industrial chemicals, feedstocks and consumer products.
